Jin Seal is typically used to create, preserve and maintain deadwood on bonsai. Jin Seal is a wood preservative best used in summer months when the weather is warm. Apply early in the morning for more sunlight to dry the seal. Deadwood is wood that has died on a tree, such as: branches, trunks, and roots. It is used to show age and remnants from the past.
Akadama is a naturally occurring volcanic byproduct mined in japan and used as a component in a soil mixture for bonsai. Akadama has a clay like consistency. it absorbs moisture well and breaks down without causing drainage problems.
